March 19 to 29, 2007, I painted 10 dresses a day at Studio 204. I used encaustic, a method of painting with melted
beeswax. Visitors who found me there by chance or appointment were invited to make a "guest dress" which were
hung in the back studio with other guest dresses.
March 30, starting at 5 pm, Studio 204 hosted an opening/closing party, with the dresses installed on the walls and
punch and snacks and so on. Click here to see some installation shots. Some of them were installed in the
"Loovre" in Arts Underground, until May 7. Click here to read an article about the show. Some travelled to the
Loplops Art Lounge this past June.
If you are interested in purchasing any of the dresses not yet marked "sold," please email me at

I am interested in bringing this process as a studio residency to other places. I made 100 Dresses for August in
Dawson City August 10-19, 2007. Click here to read more about that event, and to see pictures. If you have an
idea of a place where I could set up for 10 days or so and make 100 dresses for your time and place, please
Here are the first 21 dresses. Click on the link at the bottom of each page to see more. I now have all 100 up.
All rights reserved, of course, but if you want to use any of my images, again, contact me.
